About the role

CPA Canada is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization through a pivotal transformation period. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will shape the future of a nationally significant professional association as it modernises its membership model and strengthens its public voice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to drive membership and revenue growth.
• Redefine and enhance CPA Canada’s value proposition and develop innovative products and services.
• Foster a high‑performance culture and accelerate innovation across the organization.
• Strengthen relationships with members, governments, regulators, business leaders and partners.
• Represent the profession publicly, enhancing trust in the CPA brand.

Required profile

• Executive leader with a proven record of guiding complex organisations through transformation, growth and strategic repositioning.
• Strong business and financial acumen with experience driving revenue growth and creating compelling value propositions.
• Exceptional relationship‑building and communication skills, able to inspire confidence among boards, regulators, governments and the broader business community.
• Governance expertise and public presence required to represent the profession at a national level.
• Previous President or CEO experience strongly preferred; CPA designation required; bilingualism in English and French is a significant asset.
