Data Coordinator & Developer – Vaccine Evaluation Centre

About the role

The Vaccine Evaluation Centre (VEC) at UBC is seeking a Data Coordinator and Developer to support multiple clinical studies. The role provides expert consultation to investigators on data identification, collection processes, and outcome measurement, while overseeing the data team’s daily activities.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with investigators to define data requirements and study protocols.
• Coordinate and supervise the data team across multi‑site projects, including 14 IMPACT Centers.
• Develop and maintain procedures, tools, and documentation for data management.
• Apply Good Clinical Data Management Practices to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in project‑level decision making and report to senior management and the IMPACT Executive Committee.

Required profile

• Experience in clinical data management and oversight of data collection activities.
• Strong understanding of data structures, programming concepts, and study complexity.
• Ability to make independent judgments aligned with best practices.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with investigators and multi‑disciplinary teams.
