Data Architecture Consultant Lead

About the role

Accenture Data & AI is hiring a Data Architecture Consultant Lead, a senior-level, full-time hybrid role covering Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. The consultant acts as a hands-on data consulting leader and Solutions Architect who designs, develops and maintains hybrid cloud-based data platforms on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, owns the target-state reference architecture and drives the architectural decisions that determine whether the platform proves out.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technology solution, architecture and delivery of large and complex full-lifecycle data applications across cloud, hybrid and on-premises landscapes.
• Own the target-state reference architecture across platform layers, lead discovery and architecture definition, and make documented component sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate with Platform and Data Consultants to make the design implementable as infrastructure as code, and with Security and Compliance SMEs to satisfy secure-environment controls.
• Design and build robust data pipelines, architect data transformation projects, develop solution blueprints and migration plans, and present recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Implement faster data processing methods and increase automation and scaling of complex data sets according to the customer's use case.
• Drive business and proactive activities such as proposal responses and recruitment.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience implementing data architecture and solutions.
• Minimum 5 years delivering data and analytics solutions on Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
• Minimum 5 years developing modern data platforms and architecting scalable, secure enterprise data platforms.
• Experience migrating on-premises Spark workloads to the cloud.
• Solutions architect certification in Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; English is required.
• Reliability clearance is mandatory; Canadian Secret Security clearance eligibility preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Data & AI Platforms Strategy; advanced cloud infrastructure architecture recommended.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines with Spark and Kafka.
• Strong communication skills bridging technical teams and business stakeholders.

Compensation ranges from CAD 108,800 to 220,400 depending on location and experience.
