Cyber Security Analyst – AI‑Driven Defense (Toronto)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Cyber Security Analyst to lead AI‑powered cyber defence initiatives for one of Canada’s largest banking institutions. The role focuses on designing, deploying and governing secure AI solutions that meet strict banking and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑driven solutions for threat detection, fraud prevention, security operations and cyber analytics.
• Define and enforce security controls for AI/GenAI platforms, covering model security, data protection, adversarial‑attack mitigation and secure AI lifecycle management.
• Assess AI‑related cyber risks, develop mitigation strategies and align them with industry frameworks.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, risk, compliance and technology teams to establish AI governance and responsible‑AI practices.
• Develop security architectures for cloud, data and AI platforms in a highly regulated banking environment.
• Lead cyber‑strategy assessments, threat modelling and provide executive‑level security advisory.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security or cyber risk.
• Hands‑on experience with AI security, GenAI security, SOC, threat detection, cloud security or cyber architecture.
• Background in banking, financial services or other regulated sectors.
• Familiarity with NIST AI RMF, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, CIS Controls and relevant cloud security frameworks.
