Crisis Intervention Worker – Full‑Time Contract

About the role

The Lurana Shelter, a first‑stage refuge for women and children escaping family violence, is seeking a dedicated Crisis Intervention Worker. You will provide client‑centered support, assess risk, and help residents navigate safety and service barriers during a 40‑hour work week.

Key responsibilities

• Assess individual risk and vulnerability, applying agency protocols for risk management.
• Deliver shelter orientation, crisis intervention, and ongoing support to residents and walk‑in clients.
• Manage residential logistics, including conflict resolution, room changes, and preparation of spaces for new families.
• Operate the crisis line, document calls, and refer clients to the ICM Team.
• Maintain accurate case notes, statistics, and confidentiality records.
• Collaborate with community partners, act as liaison, and contribute to shift‑change communications.
