About the role

The School of Urban Planning seeks a Course Lecturer to teach the Visual Communication 2 (URBP 610) module. This 1‑credit course runs from November 3 to December 1 2026, with classes on Tuesdays from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures and studio sessions on computer software and visual representation of spatial and urban data for professional planning audiences.
  • Conduct the course on Tuesdays, following the specified schedule.

Required profile

  • Strong architectural and graphic design background.
  • Prior studio teaching experience in architecture or planning, preferably in a Montreal setting.
  • Professional experience in architecture, community design, or community planning.
  • Graduate degree in architecture or urban design; PhD preferred.
  • Experience teaching in a graduate urban planning program is desirable.
