Summer Counsellor - French Immersion School

About the role

Edu-inter, a French immersion school for foreign students celebrating 16 years of experience, is looking for facilitators for a 5-week summer program in 2024. You will work with young people and international teenagers, helping them with their immersion activities while taking part in activities such as the Quebec Summer Festival and whale watching in Tadoussac.

Key responsibilities

• Support students in their immersion activities
• Ensure the smooth running of groups during activities and their safety
• Plan, organize and lead activities in cooperation with young people
• Promote exchange and discussion between young people in French

Required profile

• Secondary level of education; diploma (DES)
• 0-2 years of experience
• Intermediate written French; advanced spoken French and intermediate English
• Interest in young people and entertainment, good communication skills, empathy and ability to manage a group of students
• Good physical condition, as you will walk to different places for activities
• Experience with young people aged 10 to 17 is an asset; knowledge of Spanish and English, and a first aid certificate, are also assets

What we offer

• $17.50 to $18.50 per hour depending on experience
• 30 to 40 hours per week, full-time, part-time or seasonal student job
• Day, evening, night and weekend shifts
• A supportive team providing support throughout the employment period
