About the role
The Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer to deliver CIVE 317 Structural Engineering 1. This 3‑credit, 39‑hour course runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays and provides students with foundational knowledge in structural analysis and design.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and present lecture material for each scheduled class.
- Facilitate classroom discussions, problem‑solving sessions, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, quizzes, and exams.
- Maintain office hours to support student learning.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification: M.Eng. in Civil Engineering or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with at least five years of practical experience.
- Currently active practice in civil engineering.
- Member of a Canadian professional engineering association.
