Course Lecturer – Leadership in Action (Fall 2026)

About the role

McGill University’s Department of Integrated Studies in Education is seeking a Course Lecturer for the graduate course EDEM 610‑001 “Leadership in Action” for the Fall 2026 term. The instructor will deliver three credits of classroom‑based instruction, guiding students in reflective practice and leadership theory within educational settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver weekly lectures (Tuesday 5:35 pm‑8:25 pm) in room SH680 1399, covering communication, problem‑solving and decision‑making.
• Facilitate student learning through reflective praxis and applied leadership activities.
• Coordinate with the course team and attend planning meetings at least two weeks before the start date.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in educational leadership, school administration, or a related field (PhD is an asset).
• Extensive experience as a school administrator, institutional leader, or teacher in the Quebec education system.
• Proven record teaching graduate‑level courses.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in pedagogy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with myCourses learning management system.
• Experience using Zoom for synchronous instruction.
• Familiarity with blended‑learning and digital teaching tools.
