About the role

The PhD in Interdisciplinary Cancer Sciences Program at McGill University is hiring a Course Lecturer for the 2026‑2027 academic year to teach the CANC 621 D2 Seminars in Cancer Sciences. The appointment focuses on Pillar 4 – Psychosocial Oncology and involves coordinating this pillar within a four‑pillar interdisciplinary course.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Pillar 4 Course Coordinator, working with three co‑coordinators to align learning objectives and assessment strategies.
• Prepare and deliver psychosocial oncology content, select research papers, and invite guest lecturers.
• Attend and support sessions led by guest lecturers for Pillar 4.
• Contribute to syllabus development and refine course activities in collaboration with co‑coordinators.
• Evaluate student work for Pillar 4 in accordance with McGill assessment policies.
• Provide student consultation, hold office hours, and manage grading and feedback responsibilities.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a field relevant to psychosocial oncology.
• Demonstrated research expertise or professional practice in psychosocial oncology.
• Teaching experience or training at the undergraduate or graduate level.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English; French proficiency preferred.
