Course Lecturer – Instruction in Inclusive Schools

About the role

The Office of First Nations and Inuit Education at McGill University seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to deliver the fall 2026 offering of EDPI 341 716 – Instruction in Inclusive Schools. This short‑term contract involves intensive classroom sessions in Kuujjuaq, focusing on inclusive education practices for diverse learners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan, implement, and evaluate learning programs for diverse learners.
• Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet varying abilities, learning styles, and needs.
• Collaborate with students, families, and educators throughout the instructional process.
• Apply inclusive education concepts at both classroom and school levels.
• Ensure course content reflects current advances and aligns with Quebec Education Program requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Educational Psychology, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Learning Sciences, Human Development, or equivalent.
• In exceptional cases, significant research or professional experience related to course content may be considered.
• Demonstrated knowledge of educational and psychological theories and their application in authentic settings.
• Experience teaching at the college/university level or professional experience teaching K‑12.
• Familiarity with Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur (MELS) requirements and the 13 professional competencies.
• Understanding of the impact of colonialism on Indigenous communities.
