Course Lecturer – Cognition and Education (EDPE 355)

About the role

McGill University is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach EDPE 355 – Cognition and Education in the Fall 2026 term. The appointment is a single‑course, unionized contract for a three‑credit, in‑person class held on Mondays.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and facilitate discussions on cognition, learning, and educational applications.
• Prepare and update course materials, including readings, slides, and assignments.
• Design, administer, and grade assessments in line with departmental standards.
• Maintain course content that reflects current research and advances in the learning sciences.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Educational Psychology, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Learning Sciences, Human Development, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated background in cognition and education, with knowledge of relevant theories and their practical application.
• Prior university‑level teaching experience in the subject area, with satisfactory teaching evaluations.
• Ability to adhere to evolving program requirements and departmental expectations.
