About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at J Club Grill & Bar in Calgary. This full‑time, shift‑based role involves preparing a variety of meals in a fast‑paced, urban kitchen environment while ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs.
- Plan menus, estimate ingredient requirements, and execute meal preparation.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and specialty items for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions.
- Follow dietitian or chef instructions to create special meals for patients.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory, and keep the kitchen clean and organized.
- Recruit, hire, and train kitchen staff as needed.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment.
- Flexibility, strong organization, teamwork, and effective time‑management skills.
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check.
