Conversation Partner – English Immersion Summer Program

About the role

Join McGill University's School of Continuing Studies as a Conversation Partner for the English Immersion Summer Program. You will support international visiting students in improving their spoken English through informal conversations and cultural activities.

Key responsibilities

• Engage students in daily English conversations during scheduled sessions.
• Organize and lead small‑group discussions and sociocultural activities.
• Provide a welcoming environment that encourages language practice.
• Follow the brief training and guidelines provided before the program starts.

Required profile

• Proficient English speaker with clear verbal communication.
• Ability to facilitate group discussions and activities.
• Availability for at least 3 hours per day, Monday‑Friday, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., totaling roughly 45 hours.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work on the Quebec campus.
• Ideally a current McGill student, though other qualified candidates may apply.
