Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

Pure Hothouse Foods is seeking a seasoned Controller to lead its finance team and oversee the month‑end and year‑end financial processes for the Pure Flavor® brand. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will manage a team of 11 and ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate finance team activities including invoicing, AR, AP, growers’ pay, and inventory management.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, prepare financial statements, reconciliations, variance analysis and commentary.
• Lead performance management, scheduling, employee relations and staff development.
• Manage inter‑company transactions, consolidation, cash management and inter‑company transfers.
• Calculate bank and debt covenant compliance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance tracking and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare special reports and ensure compliance with local, provincial and federal reporting and tax requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• CPA designation.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience, preferably in a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
