Construction Work Planner (Nuclear)

About the role

Black & McDonald’s Power Generation team is seeking a Construction Work Planner (Nuclear) based in Pickering. The role reports to the CWP Supervisor and is responsible for creating and managing work orders in the work management system to support project implementation across various contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret design documents and prepare inspection and test plans.
• Create, process and deliver work packages for field execution.
• Analyze activity durations, identify inter‑dependencies and support project scheduling.
• Write detailed work instructions and accumulate technical documents for construction activities.
• Liaise with design, supplier and trade groups to ensure accurate work task breakdowns.

Required profile

• Completion of Grade 12 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical diploma.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project planning, including electrical, mechanical and civil packages.
• Proven ability to manage people, processes and deliver high‑quality work packages.
