Project Manager - Mobile Water Projects

About the role

Veolia's Water Tech Business is hiring a Project Manager for its Mobile Water Projects in Oakville, Ontario. Reporting to the Project Management Leader for the mining market, the role plans, organizes, supervises and controls the execution of mobile unit rental projects at client sites, covering installation, commissioning, operation and client follow-up, including mobilization and demobilization of units.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mobile unit rental projects from start to finish, leading and collaborating with technical teams (engineering, design, commissioning, production)
• Establish schedules, monitor project execution, manage budgets, changes and addenda, and track client approvals of project documents
• Plan and supervise delivery, installation and commissioning, and prepare billing information
• Document and obtain approval for contract supplements and modifications, and maintain a trusting relationship with the client
• Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and health and safety requirements
• Prepare monthly reports and post-mortem analyses of projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in mechanical engineering, hydraulic engineering, water treatment or an equivalent field
• 5 years in project management and/or operations management, particularly on-site
• Leadership to direct a multidisciplinary team, excellent oral and written communication, strong planning and organizational skills, customer service orientation, autonomy and sense of responsibility
• Eligible to work in Canada; the employer does not sponsor work permits

Required skills

• Knowledge of an ERP system (asset)
• Financial monitoring and billing support
