About the role
Seymour Pacific Developments Ltd., a national leader in land development and residential construction, is seeking a Construction Foreman for its multifamily site in Okotoks. The Foreman will supervise all on‑site construction activities and collaborate with the Site Superintendent on budget, schedule and productivity.
Key responsibilities
- Assess competency and capability of tradespersons/crew and provide training and coaching.
- Assign tasks to crew and follow up on completion.
- Coordinate with trade contractors to ensure proper sequencing.
- Assist subcontractors with scheduling and provide direction as needed.
- Work with the Site Superintendent on field aspects of project budget, schedule and productivity.
- Identify, address and resolve crew issues to maintain morale and productivity.
- Set and maintain work standards and behavioral expectations.
- Ensure crew compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Support the Site Superintendent in corrective actions and recommend personnel actions such as hiring or promotions.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience in residential, wood‑frame, multifamily projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of building techniques, building codes and safety regulations for multi‑story apartment buildings.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural schematics.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Strong organizing and management skills to meet deadlines.
- Effective decision‑making and ownership of actions.
- Consistent adherence to safe work practices.
