Clinical Research Coordinator – Pediatric Oncology

About the role

The Clinical Research Coordinator will support the Michael Cuccione Childhood Cancer Research Program and the national pediatric oncology surveillance program. Working from the Shaughnessy Building, you will collaborate with physicians, data managers, and oncology clinic staff to ensure accurate patient registration and data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and track eligible pediatric cancer patients for study enrollment.
• Review eligibility criteria and confirm patient suitability.
• Retrieve, abstract, and enter complex health‑record data into electronic systems.
• Coordinate biological sample collection, handling, and shipment according to protocol.
• Prepare for and support audit and monitoring visits, including source‑document retrieval.
• Create responses to auditor and monitor reports.
• Complete paper data capture forms and maintain organized study files.
• Maintain patient registration quotas and update follow‑up databases.

Required profile

• Experience in clinical research coordination, preferably in oncology or pediatric settings.
• Ability to work independently and report to the Clinical Trials Unit Manager and principal investigators.
• Strong attention to detail for data abstraction and audit preparation.
• Excellent organizational skills for managing study documentation and sample logistics.
