Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse (Pediatrics & Adults)

About the role

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator – Nurse to support the conduct of clinical studies in both pediatric and adult departments. Working under the Manager of Pediatric and Adult Research, you will ensure patient safety, protocol compliance, and high‑quality data collection within a leading biomedical research environment.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain informed consent and assess patient eligibility for study protocols.
• Maintain accurate medication, adverse event, and questionnaire logs.
• Prepare and process protocol‑related orders, pathology requests, and source documentation.
• Coordinate data collection, respond to queries, and ensure completeness of research records.
• Conduct protocol‑specific training and manage Research Ethics Board submissions.
• Collaborate with investigators, healthcare staff, and patients throughout study timelines.

Required profile

• DEC in nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
• Minimum four years of nursing experience, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
• Good‑standing member of the OIIQ (Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec).
• Experience working with pediatric patients.

Required skills

• Advanced oral and written proficiency in French.
• Advanced oral and written proficiency in English.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
