Clinical Informatics Pharmacist (Temporary Full-Time)

About the role

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is seeking a Clinical Informatics Pharmacist to join its pharmacy informatics team on a temporary full‑time basis. The role focuses on advancing medication safety and technology by designing, implementing, and optimizing pharmacy‑related information systems as the new Health Information System is introduced.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and maintenance of pharmacy informatics platforms.
• Optimize pharmacy workflows and ensure safe integration of medication use processes.
• Collaborate with IT, clinical teams, and external vendors to align system functionality with best practices and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to strategic direction of pharmacy informatics initiatives, including future HIS implementation.
• Support data analytics and clinical decision‑support activities where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.ScPhm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• Minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• Registration in Part A of the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Demonstrated leadership in change management within healthcare settings.
• Experience in mentorship or resident education is an asset.

Required skills

• Experience with Codonics, Cerner, Worx, BD Pharmacy Keeper, BD Pyxis, knowledge portal, and automated packaging systems.
• Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, clinical informatics, and database systems.
• Familiarity with AI and data analytics tools.
