Clinical Consultant Pharmacist

About the role

CareRx is seeking a full‑time Clinical Consultant Pharmacist to join its Calgary team. You will ensure continuity of care for residents in long‑term care, supportive living and other congregate communities by collaborating with onsite physicians, nursing staff and other health providers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between long‑term care homes, retirement communities and CareRx Pharmacy.
• Travel to assigned facilities to provide on‑site clinical pharmacy support.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community leadership and pharmacy teams.
• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews for residents.
• Complete all required documentation and billing in accordance with MOHLTC, Alberta College of Pharmacy and other regulatory standards.
• Provide education to residents and staff on health‑related topics.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
• Experience working in long‑term care, retirement or congregate living settings.
• Familiarity with Continuing Care Health Service Standards, Ministerial Order for Clinical Pharmacy Services and provincial billing requirements.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
