About the role

Pear Tree School is seeking a dedicated Classroom Teacher to lead a combined‑grade classroom for the 2026‑27 academic year. You will deliver a high‑quality, theme‑based curriculum while fostering a warm, structured learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Pear Tree Method curriculum alongside a partner teacher.
• Design and adapt supporting materials such as practice tasks, homework, assessments, rubrics, and exemplars.
• Maintain strong classroom routines, differentiate instruction, and provide timely feedback.
• Collaborate with the co‑teacher for planning and professional development.
• Engage parents through regular communication and partnership.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in education (M.Ed. or equivalent) – non‑negotiable.
• Eligibility for British Columbia teacher certification and legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Commitment to a career‑long role rather than a short‑term placement.
