Children's Ministry Coordinator

About the role

City Life Church is seeking a relational, organized and capable Children’s Ministry Coordinator to create an exceptional ministry experience for children, families and volunteers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Sunday experience by ensuring classrooms, supplies, curriculum and volunteer teams are ready, welcoming children, parents and volunteers, and troubleshooting challenges.
• Build and support a volunteer team by coordinating schedules, developing relationships, recruiting, onboarding and equipping new volunteers, and fostering an accountable team culture.
• Create excellent ministry environments by coordinating curriculum, maintaining organized and welcoming children’s spaces, enforcing safety practices and continuously improving the experience.
• Care for children and families by building relationships, helping new families feel at home, listening to concerns and ensuring children feel known and valued.

Required profile

• Genuinely enjoys working with children, families and volunteers.
• Warm, welcoming and relational with strong communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and follows through.
• Calm and confident leadership during busy Sunday mornings.
• Experience in children’s ministry, education, childcare, volunteer leadership or similar people‑focused roles.
• Alignment with the Christian faith and the mission of City Life Church.
