About the role

We are looking for a reliable child care provider to work in a private home in Vancouver. The role involves caring for children, supporting their daily routines, and helping maintain a safe, organized household while the parents are away.

Key responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the parents’ absence.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Shop for food and household supplies.
• Travel with the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and housekeeping.
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and linens.
• Discipline children according to parents’ methods.
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
• Keep records of daily activities and health information.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
• Organize games and outings for children.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Supervise and care for children throughout the day.
• Tend to the emotional well‑being of the children.
• Help children with homework.
• Cook meals as needed.
