Child and Family Services Applications Trainer

About the role

The Department of Families is seeking a qualified professional to join its Child and Family Services Operations and Support team as a Child and Family Services Applications (CFSA) Trainer. This full‑time, permanent position is based in Winnipeg and focuses on delivering training and support for users of the Child and Family Services Information System.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver adult‑focused training sessions on the CFSA platform for staff across the Child and Family Services Division, agencies, authorities and regional offices.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users of the Child and Family Services Information System (CFSIS) and its Intake Module.
• Collaborate with the Manager of Operations and Support to ensure training aligns with the Child and Family Services Act and related procedural requirements.
• Contribute input to the continuous improvement of the CFSA system based on user feedback and legislative changes.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in a social sciences field (BSW preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and experience designing and delivering training to adult learners.
• Background in case management or front‑line service delivery within child and family services.
• Thorough understanding of child and family services legislation, standards and agency procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear training materials.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Experience using the Child and Family Services Information System (CFSIS).
• Familiarity with the Intake Module (IM) of CFSIS.
