About the role
The Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering seeks a sessional lecturer to teach MIE1624F – Introduction to Data Science and Analytics during the September‑December 2026 term. The instructor will guide undergraduate engineering students through analytical models, quantitative algorithms, and practical Python implementations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lecture material for the course
- Supervise teaching assistants and coordinate their activities
- Design, administer, and grade tests, exams, and assignments
- Evaluate final grades and provide timely feedback to students
- Maintain regular contact with students to support learning
Required profile
- Proven experience delivering lectures or serving as a teaching assistant
- Deep knowledge of data science, analytics, and related engineering applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Limited License (LEL) preferred; Engineering Intern (EIT) acceptable
