Join Varsity Tutors' Live Learning Platform as an online Statics Tutor, helping engineering students master core mechanics concepts from the comfort of your home. You’ll set your own schedule, earn up to $40 per hour, and make a tangible impact on academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1‑on‑1 virtual tutoring sessions focused on statics topics such as force systems, equilibrium, free‑body diagrams, trusses, frames, and friction.
• Explain vector resolution, moment calculations, method of joints and sections, and guide students toward readiness for dynamics and mechanics of materials.
• Utilize the AI‑powered Tutor Copilot to generate lesson material, real‑time instructional support, and interactive engagement tools.
• Adapt instruction to each student’s learning style, providing step‑by‑step problem‑solving frameworks and progressively challenging practice problems.

Required profile

• Deep mastery of statics concepts and engineering curricula for first‑ and second‑year engineering students.
• Ability to break down complex problems into clear, systematic steps.
• Strong communication skills with a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Flexibility to tailor sessions to diverse learning needs.
