Cashier (Retail)

About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store in Brampton and be the friendly face that welcomes customers while delivering health, beauty and convenience services. As a Cashier you will ensure a smooth checkout experience and uphold the store’s standards of service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, greet shoppers and maintain a warm demeanor.
• Accurately scan items, enter product data and process payments, including cash, coupons, lottery tickets and PC Optimum cards.
• Maintain a neat, organized checkout area and ensure proper documentation for receipts and returns.
• Merchandise designated store sections, including facing, signing and labeling products.
• Follow loss‑prevention standards, control cash, lottery and stamp inventory.
• Adhere to uniform, health and safety policies and perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Strong planning, judgement and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
• Organized, detail‑oriented and capable of accurate record‑keeping.
• Experience with computer and register systems.
