About the role
Join Shell’s busy gas‑bar in Victoria as a front‑line cashier. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling transactions and ensuring a smooth retail experience.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and process cash, cheque, credit and debit card payments.
- Scan items, receive payment for goods or services and issue receipts.
- Calculate daily/shift totals and reconcile them with sales records.
- Suggest additional products and participate in promotional activities.
- Stock shelves, keep the counter area clean and bag merchandise for customers.
- Greet customers, provide courteous service and verify age for lottery, alcohol or tobacco sales.
Required profile
- No formal education required; a high school diploma or equivalent is sufficient.
- 1 to less than 7 months of retail or cashier experience.
- Availability for early‑morning, evening, weekend and on‑call shifts.
