About the role
WILDWOOD GROUP INC. is looking for a skilled carpenter to join our construction team in Brampton. You will interpret blueprints, prepare layouts, and carry out a variety of wood‑working tasks while ensuring compliance with building codes.
Key responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate work on site and supervise other workers.
- Estimate material quantities and costs.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- 1 to less than 2 years of carpentry experience.
- Reliability, teamwork and punctuality.
- Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel and perform demanding tasks.
Required skills
- Reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Measuring, cutting and shaping wood and related materials.
- Installing windows, doors, stairs and mouldings.
- Using measuring tools and basic carpentry equipment.
