Business Operations Specialist – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Business Operations Specialist on a contract basis to analyze authentic workplace communications and transform unstructured data into actionable tasks. You will work closely with AI evaluation teams to create realistic scenarios that reflect real startup workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze Slack messages, email threads, and internal files to extract decisions, action items, dependencies, blockers, and unresolved questions.
• Synthesize multi‑source data into realistic, multi‑step tasks for evaluating advanced AI agents in the Jarvis reinforcement learning environment.
• Develop clear prompts and robust evaluation rubrics grounded in real startup workflows and workplace dynamics.
• Distinguish relevant details from irrelevant context while tracing information across multiple channels and timelines.
• Handle ambiguity and incomplete data with systematic, structured approaches to ensure task realism and accuracy.

Required profile

• Expert‑level written and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on clarity and precision.
• Proven ability to interpret and connect fragmented workplace communications across diverse formats.
• Experience synthesizing and organizing messy, unstructured information into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated capacity to identify key decisions, action items, and contextual dependencies in fast‑paced business environments.
• Strong generalist background, ideally with experience in startups or dynamic operational roles.
