Senior Manager - Project Management

About the role

The Canadian Red Cross is seeking a Senior Manager to lead project management across preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation programmes. Working in a virtual/hybrid environment, you will guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality services that strengthen community resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate programmes in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct assessments, research and analysis to shape evidence‑based programme design.
• Manage programme budgets, financial reporting and compliance with donor requirements.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, donors and service providers.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and organisational policies.
• Drive continuous improvement, process optimisation and innovation within the business unit.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading project‑ or programme‑management teams in a not‑for‑profit or humanitarian context.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, reporting and donor compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to foster a positive team culture.
