Business Development Representative

About the role
The Business Development Representative will work closely with the Growth Director and CEO to drive strategic growth for TEC. This contractor position focuses on prospecting new clients, managing sales pipelines, and expanding the company’s footprint across Canada.
Key responsibilities
- Generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, and networking.
- Identify and qualify opportunities for TEC’s digital services and products.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key customer accounts.
- Support the sales team with documentation, presentations, and proposal preparation.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor positioning.
- Assess client needs and align them with TEC’s capabilities.
- Follow up on leads and referrals generated by the sales team.
- Prepare regular status reports on goals, leads, and performance metrics.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in business development.
- Strong professional network within the Canadian market.
- 3‑5 years experience in a mid‑size or large organization.
- At least 4 years in software development companies, promoting and selling digital services.
