About the role
Delmar International Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across Canada, with a focus on Ontario. Reporting to the Department Director, you will identify new business opportunities, develop customized logistics and supply‑chain solutions, and build lasting client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and pursue net‑new logo opportunities within Ontario and broader Canadian markets.
- Develop and execute prospecting plans, building a strong network of potential clients.
- Analyze customer needs, competitive solutions, and market trends to craft tailored proposals.
- Negotiate pricing and service conditions based on client profiles.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand the company’s presence.
- Maintain a consistent sales pipeline and achieve conversion rates aligned with company targets.
- Cross‑sell Delmar’s core services to new and existing accounts.
- Collaborate with internal sales, operations, and product teams to ensure smooth hand‑off and account cultivation.
- Provide ongoing account management and anticipate evolving customer demands.
Required profile
- Proven experience in business development or sales within logistics, supply‑chain, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of client business segments and ability to translate needs into service offerings.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and coordinate with internal teams.
- Willingness to travel for networking events and client meetings.
