Business Banking Credit Analyst Trainee

About the role

The Business Banking Credit Analyst Trainee will support the credit underwriting and funding processes for a portfolio of business clients. Working closely with relationship managers, you will assess financial health, identify credit risk, and help implement strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive credit analysis on assigned client portfolios, applying lending expertise and discretionary authority within set limits.
• Prepare and review credit applications, security valuations, and risk profiles to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory standards.
• Provide timely credit decisions or recommendations to relationship managers, documenting rationale and audit trails.
• Support funding operations by verifying legal documentation, ensuring proper execution and perfection of security documents.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on change‑management projects, data governance, and communication plans.
• Respond to audit queries and quality checks, maintaining accurate records of lending decisions.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good judgment to diagnose issues within defined rules and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
