Business Analyst – Regulatory Reporting & Transformation

About the role

The Bank of China (Canada) is looking for a detail‑oriented Business Analyst to join the Digital Transformation Office. You will support the Regulatory Reporting Automation initiative, helping to streamline and standardise reporting processes in line with OSFI requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, document, and analyse business and regulatory requirements for reporting automation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain business rules documentation and data‑mapping specifications for regulatory reporting.
• Analyse financial data sources, reporting structures and system capabilities to support automation projects.
• Support design, testing and validation of automated regulatory reports, including data validation and reconciliation.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Create process maps and workflow documentation for regulatory reporting and transformation initiatives.
• Act as liaison between business users and IT to define requirements and support system enhancements.
• Prepare project documentation, management reporting materials and respond to audit or regulatory review requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience within banking or financial services.
• Experience with regulatory reporting, financial data analysis or banking transformation projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with OSFI regulatory frameworks is an asset.
