Building Superintendent – Facility Maintenance

About the role

The Building Superintendent ensures that the premises of Lion's Gate Building Maintenance Ltd remain clean, safe, and well‑maintained for tenants and visitors. Working primarily on‑site in Vancouver, you will manage daily cleaning, minor repairs, and seasonal snow removal while coordinating with external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs using industrial equipment.
• Empty trash cans and waste containers throughout the building.
• Contact and liaise with contractors for larger repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Perform minor repairs on appliances and building fixtures.
• Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas using snowblowers.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, and power tools.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in building cleaning or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Dependable, organized, and good communication skills.
