About the role
The University of British Columbia seeks a bilingual Research Assistant/Technician 3 to support Dr. Emily Jenkins on the federally‑funded “Agenda Gap” project. This role focuses on French‑language sites in Nova Scotia and engages youth in mental‑health policy advocacy.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate in‑person and virtual workshops and other research events in French.
- Conduct intake and exit interviews with youth participants and community partners.
- Maintain regular communication with internal team members and external stakeholders.
- Perform literature searches and assist with mixed‑methods data analysis.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and contribute to publications and funder deliverables.
Required profile
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
- Experience or strong interest in youth mental‑health research and health‑equity issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with university researchers, youth participants, and community partners.
- Flexibility to work onsite at the UBC School of Nursing, remotely, and in community settings as needed.
Required skills
- Mixed‑methods research approach (qualitative and quantitative).
- Literature review and data‑analysis techniques.
- Report writing and presentation development.
