Bilingual Financial Planning Specialist

About the role

The Financial Planning Specialist works closely with CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors and their clients to create comprehensive financial roadmaps. This bilingual position supports clients in achieving both short‑term and long‑term financial goals through personalized planning and strategic advice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present detailed financial plans covering retirement, goal setting, wealth protection, major purchases, succession, and tax strategies.
• Stay current on economic trends, market conditions, legislative changes, and product developments to provide informed recommendations.
• Support Investment Advisors by promoting financial planning strategies that drive asset growth and client retention.
• Assist with market activities aimed at acquiring new business and nurturing existing relationships.
• Participate in client annual review meetings to update and adjust financial plans as needed.

Required profile

• Client‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering the right solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust through authenticity.
• Professional certifications such as CFP (in good standing) – LLQP or STEP are assets.
• Fluency in both French and English to serve a diverse client base.
