Bilingual Customer Service Representative (English/French)

About the role

Global Excel Management is hiring a bilingual Customer Service Representative in Sherbrooke, Quebec, to assist people from around the world during travel-related medical and non-medical emergencies. The role works in a multilingual and friendly environment that encourages personal and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a resource for patients, family members and medical facilities on policy benefits and coverage information.
• Open initial claims and refer clients to the most suitable healthcare providers.
• Pre-approve medical tests, give customers information on the products and services administered by the insurance company, and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Record interactions and transactions in the claims system while ensuring a high level of customer service.

Required profile

• College diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, telecommunications and/or claims assistance.
• Bilingual in English and French, spoken and written; another language is an asset.
• Customer service oriented, able to work in a fast-paced team environment, with good communication and professional skills.

Required skills

• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet).
