About the role
We are looking for a Bakery Assistant to support daily operations in our food store. The role involves handling customer orders, managing stock, and maintaining a clean, organized bakery environment. You will work closely with the team to ensure a smooth, fast‑paced service.
Key responsibilities
- Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery.
- Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom.
- Unpack received products, count, weigh and sort items.
- Maintain computerized stock inventory and record incoming stock.
- Order and stock shelves and display areas, keeping them clean and orderly.
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping floors.
- Operate the cash register and provide customer service.
Required profile
- Client‑focused with excellent oral and written communication.
- Flexible, organized and reliable team player.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, pressure‑filled environment with tight deadlines.
- Physical stamina for standing long periods and handling loads up to 23 kg.
- Attention to detail for repetitive tasks and product handling.
