Baker Helper

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Baker Helper to join our production team at our Burnaby bakery. The role supports daily baking operations by preparing ingredients, operating mixing equipment, and maintaining product quality. This position is essential for keeping our bakery line running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and dispense ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
• Operate mixing and grinding equipment to prepare dough and batters.
• Manually pack finished bakery goods into bags, boxes, or other containers.
• Inspect products and packaging for basic quality defects.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain hygiene standards.
• Bake mixed dough and batters according to recipe specifications.

Required profile

• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in bakery or food production.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks.
• Capability to lift and handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lb).
• Strong attention to detail when checking product quality.
• Reliable team player who can follow shift or on‑call schedules.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to food safety standards.
