Automotive Body Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Body Technician to join our team at Cavalcade Ford in Bracebridge. The position involves repairing and restoring vehicle bodies to factory standards while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain the work space.
  • Replace front‑end, body, door, frame and under‑body components.
  • File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired.
  • Mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers.
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts.
  • Repair or replace interior components.

Required profile

  • Secondary school graduation certificate.
  • 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work shift schedules.

Required skills

  • Grinding and sanding of body panels.
  • Masking and taping for paint preparation.
  • Dent removal using hammers and blocks.
  • Welding and bolting of replacement parts.
  • Replacement of automotive body components.
