Auditor Instructor – Paramedic Education (Casual Part-Time)

About the role

The West Regional Base Hospital – Centre for Paramedic Education & Research (CPER) is seeking an Auditor Instructor to support the delivery of certification and continuing education programs for over 2,000 paramedics across nine Ontario communities. This casual, part‑time position works closely with Paramedic Educators to ensure high‑quality training and compliance with provincial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Paramedic Educators to plan and deliver certification courses, CME programs, remedial training, and return‑to‑practice sessions.
• Review manual or electronic patient records, summarize findings, and provide feedback to learners.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with Ontario’s Ambulance Act, Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support standards.
• Assist in data entry and database management related to training records and outcomes.

Required profile

• Graduate of an Advanced Care Paramedic or Primary Care Paramedic program recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Health.
• Eligibility for employment as an Advanced or Primary Care Paramedic under the Ambulance Act.
• Recent paramedic experience is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario’s Ambulance Act, associated regulations, and documentation standards.

Required skills

• Proficient computer skills, including data entry.
• Familiarity with database programming.
