Associate Project Manager (Marketing)

About the role

AlgaeCal is hiring an Associate Project Manager in its marketing function in Vancouver. The role oversees a wide range of marketing assets, manages multiple projects from idea to launch while keeping them on time and on budget, and works closely with project leads, stakeholders and senior executives.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with project leads to build comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, budget and resource allocation.
• Supervise project workflow using Jira and report progress, milestones and issues.
• Hold meetings with key stakeholders to ensure resources are used wisely.
• Carry out risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies and communicate them to stakeholders and C-suite executives.
• Optimize project processes and resource allocation across several projects, and implement change management for scope changes.
• Maintain relationships with senior executives and stakeholders, and keep project teams, stakeholders and leadership regularly connected.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and escalate issues and conflicts within and outside the team.
• Check projects against applicable regulations and industry standards, and work with external contractors on contracts and vendor relationships.
• Create Gantt charts to manage the project schedule.

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a project management role.
• Able to drive agile projects and manage a Jira board.
• Comfortable overseeing several projects at once from start to launch.

• Salary starting at $60,000 and going up to $65,000 depending on experience.
