Associate Legal Counsel II – Fixed-Term (until July 2027)

About the role

The Associate Legal Counsel II provides day‑to‑day legal support for compliance initiatives across product, international, sustainability, packaging, risk advisory, and supply‑chain teams. Working closely with senior counsel, the role helps embed a compliance culture while interpreting regulations in the context of lululemon’s business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Manager and Senior Compliance Counsel on compliance projects, program updates, and general legal matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments, analyze changes, and guide timely business implementation.
• Support compliance‑related litigation through research and internal case‑management tracking.
• Provide legal guidance on products, services, new initiatives, complaints, and issue resolution.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and oversight of lululemon’s regulatory compliance program, including third‑party risk management.
• Advise internal business units on compliance and regulatory issues.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree and a J.D. from an accredited institution.
• Admission to the bar and ability to practice law in a Canadian jurisdiction.
• 3–5 years of compliance experience; global, retail, or litigation exposure is a plus.
• Experience supporting or implementing compliance programs.
• Strong ability to interpret laws, rules, and regulations and translate them into clear guidance.
