Associate Counsel – Corporate, Commercial & Real Estate Law

About the role

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our firm as an Associate Counsel, focusing on corporate, commercial, and real estate matters. This role is not a traditional associate position – you will bring your own client base and run an independent practice while we provide the infrastructure and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Operate your own practice under a management‑fee model with full autonomy over files and clients.
• Provide legal counsel and services in corporate, commercial, and real estate law.
• Leverage firm resources such as mentorship, paralegal support, and shared office amenities.
• Maintain and grow your existing client relationships.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of practising law in British Columbia.
• An established, independent practice with an existing client base.
• Experience in corporate, commercial, or real estate law (or a combination of these areas).
• Desire to focus more on legal work and less on the business administration of a practice.
