Assistant/Associate Professor – Energy Business Operations & Management

About the role

The School of Energy Economics, Policy and Commerce within the Collins College of Business at the University of Tulsa seeks a full‑time Assistant or Associate Professor to teach and research in energy business operations and management.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in energy business, both face‑to‑face and online.
• Develop and maintain an active research agenda in energy business topics.
• Participate in professional service, departmental committees, and community outreach.
• Mentor students and contribute to curriculum development.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (PhD, DBA, JD) in a field directly related to energy business (e.g., management, accounting, economics, finance, engineering, geoscience) from an AACSB‑accredited institution.
• Significant day‑to‑day operational experience within an energy company.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and scholarly productivity.
• Strong communication skills and a student‑focused orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and relevant energy‑industry software applications.
