Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in delivering smooth daily operations, high customer satisfaction, and strong sales performance. This role steps in as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent, ensuring continuity across all store functions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with overall store operations and staff supervision.
• Handle merchandising, stock replenishment, and unpack daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop team members.
• Manage cash handling, opening and closing procedures.
• Assign tasks, maintain store safety, cleanliness, and visual standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and give constructive feedback.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards, and hiring processes.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
